PLEASE READ
I never thought I'd have to make a post like this, but apparently it's come to such.
I've received a warning from photobucket saying that I've exceeded my allotted bandwidth, and that they've replaced all my images with those nasty little pictures of doom. Hotlinking is not very nice, and though one might think the spreading of icon-joy makes me happy, in reality it makes me very grumpy. In the two years since I started making icons, I have never had this issue with hotlinking and now that it's come up, I'm more than a little pissed off. A short while ago I moved my icons to a different location in order to deter hotlinkers, but I can't do that each and every time some ignorant fool decides to hotlink from my photobucket.
This brings me to my next issue. What to do with
twatty? I'm particularly loathe to locking my icons and requesting that you add
twatty in order to see them, because I think that's a very pretentious act and I personally find it very annoying to have to wait until someone adds me back before I can see an icon set I have a particular interest in at a certain moment. I'm sure some of you feel the same. I like making icons and posting them publically for other people to use them as well, but my generosity only goes so far. As of right now, I'm leaving them open but I ask that if you see anyone reposting my icon sets, that you either let me know about it or politely ask them to remove them on my behalf. If this issue continues, however, I'm going to friends-lock all of my current icon sets and automatically friend-lock any future posts.
EDIT- A super awesome friend has spoiled me rotten bought me three months of photobucket pro. Just because this is a quick-fix solution does not mean I'll allow people to hotlink from me! I'm locking my entries from now on, and if you would like to view my icons, please leave a comment here!
